I’m very curious to learn new things, I was involved always in business, but art and fashion was my big attraction. In 2012 I struggled with cancer and I had to close my business, but I survived and I could develop the most creative part of me and I could share with you how I’m celebrating being alive, that was how I created Mimi’s Fashion, with all my love for the life’s beauty.

My country, Peru, is rich in culture, gastronomy, beautiful places, beautiful people, music dances, etc. Every town in Peru is unique. I want to pick the best of every cultural asset and show it in my creations, that is what inspire us.

To become a great fashion company by 2017, we want to propose creative designs rescuing the beautiful cultural demonstrating of our world, in t-shirts, jackets, pants, blouses, etc.

    I learned how to paint
I always was amazed for painting, believe me I wasn’t any good at painting when I was in school, most of my time I liked sports. I saw painted t-shirts and I became curious about it and I found any type of resource to learn it, I became obsessed, and I started to paint different t-shirts and people liked them, I saw an opportunity on it and I was enjoying it at the same time.

I participated in fairs and teaching
I had the opportunity to participate in different fairs in my hometown: Huancayo and in Lima, this helped me to interact with my customers and learn more from other handcrafters. Later I was asked to teach knitting to more than 200 women in the Peruvian Andes, this was a great experience in my designer career.

    I started with knitting
I learned it as a therapy, but later it became my hobby, I really liked it, I could do different scarfs, sweaters, hats, etc. I’m very good at it!
